Do you need to improve your English skills? Do you need to improve your reading and math skills? Do you want to prepare for the high school equivalency exam? The Literacy Council can help!

Registration for English language classes is on Tuesdays from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. or 1:30 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. These classes are for people who need to learn the English language. Classes focus on speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Classes have a low student to teacher ratio and are taught by an experienced and qualified adult education instructor. In-person and online classes are available.

The Literacy Council also offers classes to help adults prepare for the high school equivalency diploma; improve their technology skills; prepare for job searches; or develop college readiness skills. Classes are available during the day and evening. Options for instruction include face-to-face, live virtual, or asynchronous distance learning.

To learn more about ESL classes, call 337-494-7000 or 337-602-8438. One of our staff members will assist you by answering questions about the program or helping you with the registration process. Adults who enroll in the ESL program will learn new vocabulary, practice conversation skills, and become familiar with our local community.

Improving your skills today makes for a brighter tomorrow. For more information or to find out how you can register for classes at the Literacy Council of SWLA, call 337-494-7000, email info@literacyswla.org, or visit our website at www.literacyswla.org.
