Tommeka is the Literacy Council?s Executive Director and is responsible for developing and managing the Council?s human and financial resources to effectively meet the literacy program service needs of the Southwest Louisiana community. Falencia Bias, Director of Programs
Falencia currently serves as a Mathematics instructor for the Council's morning pre-GED classes and for work-based computer skills classes. Monica Orsot, ESL & Financial Literacy Coordinator
Monica serves as an instructor and coordinator for the Council?s English Language / Civics program. Monica also coordinates the Council?s Southwest Louisiana Financial Education Project. She has a B.A. in English from MSU.

Nancy Demarest, Literacy Instructor
Nancy is the Council?s reading instructor. She teaches in the morning pre-GED classes. She also coordinates volunteer activities. Nancy earned her Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Louisiana State University?New Orleans, and her Master of Arts in English Literature from University of Connecticut. E-mail Nancy

Patsy Myers, Office Manager
Patsy has been with the Council since 1994, and has an Associate of Arts Degree in accounting from Lousiana Technical College, SOWELA. Patsy is responsible for bookkeeping, for state and federal grant expenditures, and office management.

Marjorie Nelams, Instructional Assistant
Marjorie is working as an Instructional Assistant on a hurricane recovery grant through the Louisiana Department of Labor.
